Regretting the American Revolution (or give a leftist a keyboard and you’ll never know what they might type).

Hey, they’ve made a living exploiting different strands of Christianity. Is it any surprise to see them working together to exploit a new religion? Of course not. In fact, the climate change religion looks to be even more lucrative than anything they’ve exploited before.

While Reverend Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson have different views on most issues, when it comes to the urgency of protecting the planet, they agree.

“I am honored that Al Gore asked me to be a part of this campaign urging people to take care of the planet,” Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “It’s just common sense that we ought to be good stewards of the environment and do everything within our power to protect this fragile planet that we all live on.”

At the taping of this clip on Virginia Beach, the two joked and prayed together. If these polar opposites can come together on this important and moral issue, why can’t you?

Now that Rachel Ray and Dunkin’ Donuts have pulled the web ads showing her sporting the keffiyeh, I doubt you’ll see her wearing Freshjive’s hip “The Good Ol’ Days” t-shirt with a smiling, sunglasses clad Yasser Arafat, reveling in all his terrorist glory.

By Freshjive

Remember, Freshjive?  Terrorist t-shirts for the douchebag set seem to be his thing…

Listen to these idiots speak the language

“He’ll be horrified after learning it was delivered by plane. Paul has always campaigned for green issues and he can’t understand why anyone would send an enormous car from Japan to Britain on a plane.”

Carbon offsetting firm CO2balance.com said the plane journey would have caused a carbon footprint of 38,050kg, compared to 397kg for a three-week boat journey.

A carbon footprint is the measure of the impact that human activity has on the environment and is measured in units of carbon dioxide.

Co2balance.com Director Mike Rigby said: “That is the equivalent of driving the car around the world six times.”

A spokesman for Swissport, the freight handling company who unloaded the car at Heathrow, said: “Obviously we were happy for the business but everyone was shocked. The carbon footprint must be enormous.”

Paddy Gillett of the anti-aviation lobby group Plane Stupid, said: “For anyone to pretend that a private limousine is in any way eco-friendly is like pretending a private jet is. It’s total greenwash.”

Sean Penn is using a lot of corn to drive across the country. He thinks he is helping the poor, but he is only encouraging energy policies which are destined to lead to higher core food prices. Sean Penn is a douche maximus.

I’ve been watching this Weather Underground documentary throughout the day today. Seeing these 60’s radicals kindles thoughts about how sad, pathetic, and transparent the “new left” of the 60’s and 70’s really was. I keep asking myself — how did anyone fall for it all?

I could only shake my head while watching the former Weathermen, now adultvs, try to justify the inexcusable behavior of their childhood and seeing how pathetically they gave up once it stopped being fun (one loser was lonely and missed his girlfriend — well duh!).

Two things still confuse me (I was born in 1978). One, how did the movement become so cheap-feeling so quickly (”rad” slogans everywhere, the pathetic drug and sex culture, the hero-worship of the drug-addled mind)? Two, what sort of moral void in the general culture must have existed for unhinged post-modernism to be so completely unleashed on American society? Certainly, the decline of Christianity in these raving communists’ lives did not push aside their attraction to religion - if anything, they were seeking a religion more stridently than their parents, whom they had to despise inately. Whether this documentary understands it or not, it hammers home the blatent religiousness of the entire 60’s new left movement.

Looking back to these days and looking at where we are today — it seems American culture has evolved significantly for the better. The moral foundation for individual rights seems more solid today than it was back then. That foundation is under serious attack (and the new left still exerts massive power, especially through our public institutions) but I feel safe declaring that the good guys have won more battles than they’ve lost since the end of the 60s.

Side note: Kejda — finish your book on the new left. Maybe this summer, eh?
